This is channel will feature mostly trains on the Memphis West & East District in Northern Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. Or just any train I manage to see and record. 4 CSX trains including 1877 leading on a chilly afternoon on the CSX S&NA Sub around Athens, AL. Athens is the place to go if you want some good horn action. M514 at the end of the video has one of the weirdest train setups I have ever seen with an engine, a csx research car, and two dps all on the head end.

5/29/24 Dark 30 has struck again on the Memphis District as NS 204 with CP 7023 leading comes up on Sheffield Yard at 10:45 PM. I decided why not just go at least see it since it might not ever return around here.

A freshly painted 8099 Southern engine leading in peak Fall colors?! I owe NS 288 for allowing this catch to happen because 286 would have ran pre dawn if 288 hadn't blocked the entrance to Sheffield Yard.

I forgot my tripod when going after what CSX calls a "heritage unit".... How you manage to do that I am not sure. I got word CSX 1973 was leading a southbound and it would be in the beautiful afternoon sunlight in the late summertime this couldn't be turned down. There was a bridge curfew on the bridge to the south at Decatur so C002 was heading into the siding at Carey to hold for a couple hours.

What better way to kick off your 4th of July than a crack-of-dawn train catch. Recently released from the shops in Waycross, this was 1982s first voyage up the S&NA which makes it worth a trip... even on a holiday. Hope you enjoy it!!

This video is a short collection of some of the trains caught over the winter. With a CP ACU leading 362 & some reroutes up the NA due to the Decatur bridge being hit by a barge. Unfortunately, NS power swapped the BN power off this train at Sheffield Yard & replaced it with a lovely C6M how sweet of them. I would have a video of the West End 056 with the bonnet, but a dew point of 76 fogged up my camera when I got out of the car.....

After getting into Sheffield Yard early in the morning 201s West End crew had some switching to do before departing west. It picked up 23N engines on the head end of the train and combined its train with theirs because they both head to the same place Rossville, TN, and this means one less crew NS has to pay. I wouldn't want to be in an area near anyting metal when a lightning hits.
The S5T sounds quite a bit better now. I'm quite happy about that. Although the highest pitch bell still sounds like it isn't working. Hopefully CSX fixes that.

Damn i love that horn!! Back in 2000 I used to take my lunch break in Cherokee if I had to go out to Cherokee nitrogen. It was guaranteed to see a few trains in a short period. Before smart phones, Facebook and all the other platforms. That was my entertainment😁 Nice chase brother!! Keep on chasing 👍

@@Smokin-Rails Yes sir me too!! I'm just glad when I caught them they were at track speed. Otherwise my arms wouldn't have held out🤣 Also I think I got my calculations a little off. They were well over 15,000 ft. And I think they cut it at Leighton??
